Step 1: Exporting from Chats or Groups

You can choose to export phone numbers from chats you’ve had with people or from groups you are a member of. When exporting from Groups you can either exports from all the groups at once or you can choose to export from a specific group only.

Choose to export All contacts, Only Saved Contacts, or Only Non Saved phone numbers.

In WhatsApp there are 2 types of Contacts:

• Saved Contacts = phone numbers that you saved to your phone contacts.

• Not Saved Numbers = phone numbers that are not yet saved to your phone contacts.

If you had chats with people but never saved their phone numbers in WhatsApp you choose to export just those numbers by selecting Not Saved Contacts Only.

If you are a member of a WhatsApp Group but many of the group’s members are not saved as contacts in your phone you can choose to export just those numbers by selecting Not Saved Contacts Only.
